PF: Pink Roses

02/22/13

Quick post. :)

Happy Friday! My Pink Fridays post for today will be something related to our recent celebration, the Valentines Day. I actually didn't receive anything from my boyfie who's at the other side of the world, literally. But still got some presents from my family. weee :)

So here's a photo of the bouquet of pink roses I got last February 14th.

The bouquet of pink roses + our cute pet dog at the back ;)
And that made my day! :) Flowers actually make me smile. Anyways, I still have some things to do. Plus, I've been a little busy preparing for our upcoming giveaway! Yes, you read it right. And it'll start very soon, sweeties! :)

Happy weekend! :)

Knock, knock! It's LOVE

02/12/13

Can you feel LOVE in the air now? We're just some days away from what we call the official Hearts' day, or Lovers' day; some people also fondly call it the SAD or Single Awareness Day. Whatever you call it, February 14, Thursday, is the Valentine's Day. And it just can't be stopped.

Are you looking forward to "that" day?

If your answer is YES and you're a GIRL, then I figure you might be very excited because you got the sweetest invite for a date on that day! Plus, the invite is coming from the guy you want to be with on that special day. Isn't that amazing? Well, that's totally a reason to look forward to that day. You may even want to fast forward to Feb 14 ASAP.

Meanwhile, if your answer is a YES and you're a boy, I guess you just scored that sweet "yes" from the girl of your dreams - to be your date on the 14th. *winks*

On the other hand, if your answer is a NO, regardless of gender, then you either have no date on the Valentines day, or your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner is away (like miles away) from you. It could also be because your long time crush is nowhere within your reach (no date with him/her or even an invite or a simple conversation). Or, you could be.. just hating the thought of Valentine's day and of love.

As for me, it doesn't really matter. I mean, my answer would be "Whatever." Don't get me wrong, but I actually love the thought of having a Valentine's Day, plus all the other perks going on before and after the special day. I love seeing hearts <3 everywhere.. in the mall, supermarkets, schools, and other public places. There are signs saying "Valentine's Day is Thursday, February 14." But somehow, I don't really have that excitement and enthusiasm for this year's V-Day. I could say a very big factor is because I don't have a date (my boyfie is in the Phils now, so we're literally miles away).

However, I still took photos of the beautiful flowers I saw in the store nearby. This is a sign that Valentine's Day is indeed just around the corner.

Which of these roses do you like? :) I like the white roses.

Anyway, I believe that being happy on the Valentine's Day is a decision. Having a partner is not just the key to being happy on that day. If you don't have a date with someone of the opposite sex, then spend your day with family or friends. Watch a movie with your groupie or barkada. Or treat your parents to a wonderful buffet dinner (including yourself and your siblings of course). Also, for the busy couples who would've wished they can meet on the V-Day but just can't because of work, school, etc., then you can still go out on the 15th, 16th, so on. A belated V-Day date is always as sweet. :)

I will end this blog post with the 5 simple rules of happiness: (which is a cliche and I do not know who the original source is)
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

And here's something from me (original*wink*): When LOVE knocks at your door, not just on V-Day but any day of the year, DO NOT be afraid to open it. Let it come in. It isn't just about a partner, it's about everyone and everything in your life.

Love love! Happy Hearts' Day! :) <3

Pink Fridays is Back!

02/08/13

You read the title right. It says, Pink. Fridays. Is. Back. And I mean it. I know I've been such a lazy blogger since December... well, since I've been here in the United States. And I have not posted even a single Pink Fridays post. I have been lax about that because I thought it doesn't really matter to my readers. But then, somebody just made me realize otherwise.

It was last week when I received a private message on our So Sweet Suzette Fanpage. One of our So Sweet Suzette readers, who is also a friend + relative of mine, asked where my Pink Fridays posts are. Then I found out, my PF posts really matter to her (which makes me feel glad). My PF post is what keeps her coming back to my blog, checking every Friday, hoping there would be a pink photo that would please her eyes (it's actually her fave color). *hihi*

I apologized, and promised to her that I'll work on my PF post the soonest I can. So, here it is. This is my first Friday post for the love month of February, and the first for the year 2013 as well.

The photos I'm showing you for today are actually old ones, I would say VERY OLD ones. I found them while browsing my old photos. And ta-daaaah! Let me present to you, the pink piggy cupcakes! :)

Pink Piggy sittin' pretty (and friends).
As you can see, there's the "ohsoyoung" Suzette over there. Photos are actually taken more than 2 years ago. This was during a family friend's business opening. The cupcakes were really cute, that's why I didn't think twice about taking pictures with them (the piggy & chicken cupcakes).

It's not just me who's enjoying the piggy cupcakes.. even my lil brotha!
Haha! He's still so young here. lol

After taking photos with the cute cuppies, we ate them (just like what my brother seemed to "portray" on the photo above). HAHA :D

Few days more to go and it'll be Valentine's Day! <3 Love love love.

PF: Pink Hello Kitty Watch

12/7/12

Hello, it's Friday! And I'm back with another Pink Fridays post. Well, you all know how I just love Hello Kitty, don't you? I've had a post about her birthday last month HERE.

So as I was browsing my photos stored here in the laptop to find something pink (so I can use it here), I came across this cute photo of one of my Hello Kitty stuffs. It's a pink Hello Kitty wristwatch! :)

I took a shot of the watch, which kinda matched my pink lipstick! HAHA :)
Here's how the watch really look like. So the watch's strap is silvery. But I just love how Hello Kitty's ribbon is colored baby pink. Plus, it has a pink round bezel. Just cute ;)
A kiss on the cute HK box!
The watch came from my Sissy (in the US). She also loves Hello Kitty. And I just remember her being my very own "shopper" when I had my Hello Kitty collection when I was a kid (way back elementary years). And take note, she's also the one who gave me the HK shirt I was mentioning in another blog post (HERE). So you can really say she's supportive. And I'm so lucky to have her as my Ate. Weee :)

By the way, it's almost Christmas! Are you having a little trouble about your Christmas shopping? Well, a watch like this one can really turn out great for a gift! And I'm so looking forward to spending my Christmas with my Ate and her family. Mom will be with us, too.

I moved this PF badge here, bottom part of the post, so a thumbnail can be used when I share my post :)
Cold Friday evening sweeties! Pinkylove. Hellokittylove. <3

A Wish that Came True

12/4/12

Do you remember how I wished for something before and it suddenly came true? I mentioned it on my post HERE. It was about my wish of hosting a giveaway for my dear blog readers, which eventually came true with the help of a generous online shop owner.

And apart from that, I also have many other wishes and dreams. One of them is actually the dream of driving. I hoped that one day, I can drive along the streets of Bohol (and CA, soon) confidently and safely. And just yesterday, I can feel that I'm already a step closer to making that dream come true! I actually posted a status on my personal Facebook account about that exciting experience I had. I wasn't really boasting, I was just super-happy! :)

Photo taken by my cousin, Angeli (She was at the backseat). This was taken during my Day 1 of driving practice. The car I used here was manual (with clutch). However, I was driving an automatic vehicle on the highway (the one I was referring to with my status).

The FB status I posted. It's in Boholano/Cebuano dialect. Pasensya po sa mga Tagalog readers. hihi ;)

And since I am really happy with my driving improvements, I want to share the happiness with you. So I won't make you wait any longer. As our giveaway tagline goes "Sweet wishes do come true!", a wish of mine came true, and so will our lucky winner's too.

So here's the screen cap:
CONGRATULATIONS
MARINE THERESE DECENA!
(aka Tere Decena)

You are the lucky reader who gets to receive the lovely set of accessories from White Poppy Wishes. As I've mentioned on the giveaway post, you must contact me within 48 hours. Just send an email to gayle_suzette@yahoo.com so we can make chika on how you can claim your prize! *winks*

To everyone, I may have said this many times, but I just want to THANK YOU for joining my first blog giveaway. There will be more to come, so don't be sad. And please continue supporting So Sweet Suzette.

HUGS on a cold evening,
Suzette <3

It's a PerPINK Fit!

12/2/12 :)

This is a VERY LATE post. Apologies. :)

Last September 29, a Saturday, my poging cousin Neilboy celebrated his 21st birthday. It was his debut celebration. This blog entry is supposedly an outfit post, but I wasn't really able to wear a bonggang-bonggang outfit. In fact, I forgot to wear the accessories I prepared! Haha! I actually left them inside my big bag, which was there in the hotel room where we changed our outfits. Just please bear with the simplicity of my outfit because I'll be posting the photos here, anyway.

And here are some of the photos: (courtesy of kuya Rodel Ryan Yana)

The simple ME + ENGINEER paraphernalia.
Do they look good on me? :) Bagay ba?

It's me and the birthday boy himself! Talk about sharing the baby crib before with this dear cousin :)

Photo imported from my other blog, as seen on the watermark. Hihi ;)
So there! There are actually more photos.. lots of them. But I just want to show you I looked like during that event, or that night. I actually found this pink dress at a boutique in Cebu City. Honestly, I didn't find this, my Mama did. And she forced me to try this on. Then ta-dah! She said it looked good on me. And she bought it for me. Thanks, Ma. <3

My shoes? They're from my Sissy (in the US). It's a Jessica Simpson pair. Very lovely, indeed. And I should also say thank you to my ever supportive cousin-in-law Kuya Rodel Yana, for taking the photos. :)

It's the second day of the last month today. Few more days before Christmas. And I've just realized that when I saw the 1st candle of the advent wreath lighted at the church. Today is actually the first Sunday of Advent. Whew! I think I need to do a Christmas wishlist sometime soon, you should too sweeties! :)

PF: Pink Tricycle

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

As promised, I am here with another Pink Fridays post and with a new badge *grins*. I just wanted to use this badge because I find the pink heart really cute. This would just be really quick. :)

Remember my PF post last week? I showed you a pink car parked in one of the streets of Tagbilaran City. So here's a continuation of the story. Apparently, a few minutes after I saw the pink car, a PINK tricycle surprisingly appeared and parked just in front of the pink car. HAHA. And we (me and my friends) were like, "OMG, what a coincidence!" (Please, don't imagine it to be having a sosy tone, ok?*winks*)

See for yourself!

The PINK tricycle parking in front of the PINK car (which I blogged about last Friday)

I just find it very, uhm, how should I say this.. serendipitous? Haha. I mean, don't you find it unusual? These two vehicles here obviously didn't really do it (parking next to another vehicle with the same color as theirs) on a purpose, or did they?

And just like the little pink car, I also do not know who the owner of the pink tricycle is. But I think I've seen this tryk for quite several times around the city already.

Well, these are just some amazing things I randomly see and encounter during ordinary days. And because today is the last day of the month, let us not forget to thank God for all that has been for the month of November... even the smallest, ordinary things.

BTW, it's also our 42nd monthsary today (boyfie and me). And I would blog about that on a separate post. :)

Have a thankful Friday everyone! <3
